The Community Health Services, Southern Derbyshire National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2001

  Made 22nd March 2001 
  Coming into force 1st April 2001 

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1] and by section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order[3], and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act[4], hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as The Community Health Services, Southern Derbyshire National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1st April 2001.

Dissolution of NHS trusts
     2.  - (1) The Community Health Services Southern Derbyshire National Health Service Trust established by The Community Health Services Southern Derbyshire Community National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992[5] is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order dissolves The Community Health Services Southern Derbyshire National Health Service Trust on 1st April 2001. It should be read in conjunction with the Southern Derbyshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust Change of Name and (Establishment) Amendment Order 2001[6]. The latter trust is to carry out certain functions previously carried out by the trust which is dissolved by this Order.
